Why we exist
The problem was never a shortage of money. It is a broken path to the frontline.
The climate crisis is accelerating, yet frontline communities that contribute least to climate change suffer the most severe impacts.
O'Motherlands is building Africa's last-mile climate-finance infrastructure by placing resources, decision-making power, and accountability directly into the hands of women, youth, Indigenous Peoples, farmers, fisherfolk, pastoralists, and marginalized communities.
We believe climate action becomes transformational when communities stop being beneficiaries of projects and become owners of the institutions that sustain them.
